Role: Trainer, Course Planner
Qualifications: Advanced Diploma in Adult Nursing, BSC in Acute Care, Diploma in Tropical Diseases, Education Training Award (Level 3),
Background: 15+ years working as a nurse and senior sister in A&E in Brighton and Hove, 3 years working for MSF in Nigeria, South Sudan and other developing countries.
Bio: Sarah began her career in nursing in 2002 and quickly realised that her heart lay in Accident and Emergency. The daily stresses of dealing with members of the public with a range of complex issues led her to feel that the NHS was overburdened. There was also a lack of mental health support available, in general and for those who dedicated their lives to helping others. She began working for Médecins Sans Frontiers and experienced a very different type of need for medical care. She also works as a first aid trainer and enjoys teaching people how to deal with medical emergencies. Sarah has years of leadership experience and working in high pressure situations in war-torn regions has highlighted even more, the need for mutual care. She has an excellent track-record as a first aid instructor and has delivered high quality training in corporate and social settings. She has even delivered training to staff in the royal households of Buckingham Palace, Clarence House, St James' Palace and Windsor Castle.
